It's kinda secretive for me I feel, otherwise every AI Artist of any domain will be the same, more or less. Just a hint, as I said it's Bossa Nova, so it's been in the prompts, alongside other components of my knowledge, like "jazz" "dark" "male" or "female" vocals or "duo", etc etc. But I keep it simple.
ok, but this is a feedback site - how can I give feedback if you wont show what you wrote. if you post the prompt, I promise I can show you where you messed it up.
What messed it up? Can you explain?
I would rather get feedbacks on my lyrics, which is the purpose of this forum. And I showed you what I wrote, my lyrics. Prompts are more of the personnal stuff that you can't give or receive advice, because, well it's just a so not important detail here. True I would appreciate if you listen to the songs, but it's basically just the prompts I already revealed to you anyways and they are for musical purpose only.

this is an example of irony

why would I bother listening to an AI generated song? I can make a dozen in 5 minutes and I am confident they would be better.

This track, but I deleted it this insta reel is all what is left of it:
This reminds me of soul coughing if they played anvils.
I think this is a pretty cool song, I think as far as jazz goes I was expecting more rambunctious free notes on horns, or ghost notes on the drums. Reminds me of tool's donut song. Do you ever get the feeling genres are just taxonomy for music

Hello, could you clarify one question for me. From reading through this thread, I gather that you are saying you wrote the lyrics without the assistance of AI, but the musical accompaniment and vocals were made with AI? If you wrote all the lyrics yourself without AI or Chatbot assistance, then carry on. Whether or not the musical part is AI is not relevant for this site, so it's fine either way. But if the lyrics were written through AI, then this is not the right forum. We only read and offer feedback on human-authored works. AI poetry/lyrics/writings are not permitted. Based on your explanation, I'm assuming your lyrics are produced through old-fashioned human brain power, but I just want to confirm for clarity.

Hello, yes I certify, I wrote all the lyrics, and this is why I believe in AI, writing lyrics for AI music/singer gives another perspective, maybe more paused for reflection than writting for my own created music. I can't pretend to sing when I have zero experience in singing, so I make "spoken words" and "mutters" when it come to a full song made 100% by myself, but I'm unsatisfied mostly about my singing "technique", like my parents said since I was a teen I would be the next Gainsbourgh, but I don't take this too much in mind when I "spoken words" on my music. But yes, I wrote all the lyrics of those AI songs.

2 new AI songs with my will to improve to be a lyricist (I got one commision so far atm). I wrote all the lyrics, they are both in a 5 tracks EP with 2 songs I wrote last year and remastered.
Lyrics:
I loved you so much
but my teenages brutality pulled us apart
I wasn't weary such
I wasn't such aware
bombastic and blind
we were young we were strong
not a kaolin dust in mind
no mind for sweetness
and now
(now, now)
not only you made bad songs better
(better)
not only you made bad songs greater again
(winky winky)
and in the end, other bad songs enjoyed a peaceful life
(no more jokes!)
because you were, a killer love-maschine
since my 14 years old self
power, violence and abuses
while I met dyonisus and apollo
it was bursting my head
but it seems the song is still the same, but out of context
(out of context)
not only you made bad songs better
(better)
not only you made bad songs greater again
(winky winky)
and in the end, other bad songs enjoyed a peaceful life
(no more jokes!)
because you were, a killer love-maschine
and you and I, never made our bad song better
Lyrics:
ecce homo
he's the man who changed the doctrines
ecce homo
he's the man who sold himself
generous and exposed
be the same, to adore our beloved jesus
but know that his sect
lasted two millenniums
and in this end, even his dogma
longinus stabbed the just like the living bread
generous and exposed
to bring back the same, the faith, to adore our beloved jesus
ecce homo
the gospel
ecce homo
euangelion we vow
but know that our sins (sins)
lasted two millenniums
and in this end, of his passion (passion)
every road leads to roma, anyway
ecce gospel euangelizomai
---------------
Thanks.

Were you wanting critique on these as poems or songs or ...?
I'm at odds with this because I'm a musician and until recently 100% of music was made by a tiny percentage of humans that have ever existed, all musicians to some varying degree who have acquired particular skills to be able to make music of some sort. The fact that anyone can now write a prompt and produce a song is very disconcerting for me.
For me a song should be first and foremost about the music and the lyrics no matter how good will always be a secondary factor for judging quality. Good music can easily carry bad lyrics whereas good lyrics can never carry a bad tune to any degree. However not everyone is the same and some people are happy with a generic sounding song.
I'm intrigued as to why you've went with bossa nova style in all your pieces, it doesn't suit the lyrics as such. The tunes are pleasant enough in generic way. It's nice bossa nova but it hasn't really got any flare or passion, it seems to be devoid of emotion and this may also account for why I don't think it suits the lyrics.
I read earlier in the thread that you refuse to divulge your 'prompting technique' but I would be interested to know if you are asking for specific sounding voices or is it just what it is giving you, 'Frank Sinatra sings Bossa Nova'. I think AI responds better to very specific instructions, so have you experimented with asking it in this way?
It is kind of an intriguing concept and I do believe it will be a wonderful tool for some people. Have you ever tried to learn to play a musical instrument? If you were to learn an instrument for 6 months and then wrote to the best of your abilities a song with your lyrics and then performed it I guarantee that I would like it better than the stuff you've posted here simply because of its authenticity.
You need to find an Elton John to go with you Bernie Taupin.
If you post these lyrics as a poem in one of the critique forums and then give others critique you will receive critique back, if that is what your looking for, you did mention your "will to improve to be a lyricist".
Cheers for sharing

Hi,
Thanks for those words, I know even with my prompt it feels generic (I never thought of something like "Sinatra sings bossa nova", I just put music genres/styles, warm vocals, mood, etc, nothing very interesting here)
I do compose my own songs with Cubase and WaveLab since 6 years, I signed a contract with an independant music house just 2 years ago, got an OAC YT since december 2025. But here is not to show my musical work. And yeah... this was me in 2021
Maybe you'll want to hear what I compose on my DAWs? A collab song I made with a singer, my latest song, but she was like "I'm hired? Will you pay me?" she literally changed the collab into commissions, that, at the end I accept to pay her upfront, at the only condition she will work with me for a 10 or 12 tracks album in 3 months deadline, but since 3 days after we chatted plans, she left me in front of a blank wall and deserted. Maybe she wasn't satisfied by the fact my label pays each 3 months (because I wanted a long term collab, add her as a secondary artist with my label credentials), or the promise to try myself to make bossa nova (I know nothing of it's theory, but could try by ears) with her singing on those bossa nova songs that could've been, to what I make the best: Industrial music... may have chocked her. I don't know if it scared her she didn't looked under aged, around the 20s, but she said before "I'll work with you asap after I get money for (I don't know), "something"" so she was after fast money. The issue is, I think she gave up, no more replies, no more showing "connected", the dilemna is, I need her consentment to distributate this Industrial with female vocals via my label, so I'm asking to my label if I can at least uploaded it on my OAC YT, presenting how this song was born, mentioning the singer. At least that, I mean, all without bragging she sang very well, I'm finding my way musically more clearly if I get my female vocalist, it boosts my inspiration. And if it's not her, I'll search for another, but I don't want the song I made with her vocals to be lost in the void. The song is like "urban minimalistic Industrial". If you want to listen to it, I could pm you the link to it. Let me know.
(I just received the reply from my label saying even on my OAC YT, it's agaisnt the music industry policies to release or even post something I don't own completely)

So you're obviously a good musician which makes it even more baffling that you would use AI. Do you give chord structures, melodies and harmonies as part of your prompt? Is that a possibility? Have you tried any other genres for your lyrics? I feel that something like salsa or tango would hold more tension which may suit the lyrics.

Hi Magpie,
No as far as I know I never tried to add a melody line, chords, structure in the prompt even tonality. But I saw on an add where you can literally "sing a melody" and transform it on an instrumental melody, also that Suno have it's own DAW. Never tried the PC version. Yes at the very beginning i tried differentent stuffs just for testing, until I decide to make a derivative bossa nova. I will try your proposition.
And I have to work to go back to the city where the cosnervatory of music is, I'm actually in a lost town of 1k6 habitant, no work unless I have a car, which I don't, and keyboard-less. (my guardianship wouldn't accept to let me buy a electronic piano and move back to the city of the conservatory before I work in a protected center in the city, going there by bus each day until the 2 weeks tests are over)
