Counting Sheep

Counting Sheep

Recalling dreams is my counting sheep,

Details bind my vacations of sleep
Together, as I follow them,
Revisiting each through cords that link,
Then down I fall into darkness deep.
To dance in a whimsical land,
Of peppermint kittens and little demands.
So when I wake
And need a break,
I can get lost again in the grand.

I love this poem, makes me a little sleepy reading it. I rarely can recall my dreams lately but I love those moments where I wake up dozing off and note the first few impressions of dreaming.
I like the imagery of the poem especially
"Through cords that link"

Happy dreaming
