taste

Tip
of tongue
is lit
on fire
deeper in
to your
desire
licking lips
and fingers
sticky
oh
the sweet
sweet
taste
of jelly

grinding
pushing
swelling
pulsing
sweating
forehead
on your
belly
hear
your heart
beat
hard
to slowing
smell
your blood

and love
the smelling

HA! It is quite something else. Tangy, and sweetly spicy- the taste of her jelly. You'll figure it out.

When a poem gives you a boner, it's got to be a keeper.

Joking aside, I think this is great.

Was going to say something like 'I didn't know you still had it in you, old man," then realized I did. Reminds me of the faux aversion  millennials took to the word 'moist.' - I almost wish it was the title.

"forehead on your belly" is a hell of an image in 4 words. Well done. How long till I can discretely 'borrow it?'

a taste of thunder

Steam
from earth
arising and
swollen wind
bends trees
upturned
leaves rustle
among
sturdy limbs
a low rumble
rolling
growing
closer
now thick
drops

rumbling
closer
closer
ground
now quivering
and ears
twitching
hear thumping
and feel
thump
thumping
that softens
until a
settling in
satisfaction

the hush
of love breathing

This is the companion poem. You could regard it as the 'audio' portion of 'taste'. It's meant to be read side-by-side with its partner, but I don't know how to do that type of formatting in the Pen. Here's an attempth at it:

a taste of thunder

Tip of Steam
tongue from earth
is lit arising and
on fire swollen wind
deeper in bends trees
to your upturned
desire leaves rustle
licking lips among
fingers sturdy limbs
sticky a low rumble
oh rolling
the sweet growing
sweet closer
taste now thick
of jelly drops

grinding rumbling
pulling closer
swelling closer
pulsing ground
sweating now quivering
forehead and ears
on your twitching
belly hear thumping
hear and feel
your heart thump
beat thumping
hard that softens
to slowing until a
smell settling in
your blood satisfaction

and love the hush
the smelling of love breathing
