Nails and twine on a barn wall.
Rusty tools hang from flaking oak.
Hay matted from the struggle of pigs,
stains near faded inside the outline.
Invisible scythes swoop
over dried corn stalks;
methodical atrophy.
Stone-opened-holes
in a paper wasp nest,
swaying.

Hi Sc,
I like the imagery here. It gives a great macabre/holloween feel. For me, it suffers some from missing a more concrete narrative to give it a sense of progression and emotional impact.
Happy haunting,

Methodical atrophy has a very slow progression, longer than we have time to consider. I might consider incorporating this to a time we could understand it, short.
Photographs don't have a narrative.
Happy haunting Bryn.
