Gumball machine

[Semicircle]

Pink gumballs

slowly roll single file

like quarters descending 

a funnel, falling

with a 

plunk.

Firm fingers, jostle,
guts rattling.
It rears and
hurls them back
into a sticky pile.

Tears 
rolling like gumballs
down a flaccid face
as more bags empty inside,
unaware of appetite
or taste.
