Barking
#1
Down by the pond,
with snakes and frogs,
and the incessent yapping
of the neighbors dogs

A little sandcastle housing
pill bugs, foundation held together
by the slime of worker slugs.

Inside, little catterpillers
gnaw on leaves
down to their veins.
What mischevious scamps,
those were the cover
for when it rains--

but he wonders,
and patience wanes.

He burries them
and watches the bugs
wriggle up
from their grave.

Those dogs barking-
always barking.
He wishes they would
shut up.

You could make an art out of your misspellings. As though a simple but clever guy were speaking. It doesn't matter if you did those on purpose or not, you can work that into your style. Or not. There are many things you can do to add to the character of your play.

There's the complex of helping and harming here that nature is prone to.

The seemingly arbitrary barking of the dogs is appropriate.

Things are always happening!

Sometimes awfully loud while all the other stuff is happening.
