Stain

[Semicircle]

Little oil slick,
Bedazzled in rainbow bands,
Vibrating by the rumble 
of my engine.


Mid center;
a bloated worm,
gracefully pirouettes
on undulating ripples.


The oil seeps into the worm
by morning,
along with the colors–


I don’t think 
I would’ve mentioned the worm
without the colors.

All the adjectives work here, and the fancy-dancy things, because of the rainbow and the once-wiggly worm.

A little ghoulish*, but hangs together well and ends on an interesting note.

*I couldn't be indifferent to a worm caught in a pool of oil, as this Narrator is.  Admittedly, I'm an odd ball.  So consider the source
