My girlfriend is beautiful.
She has the beauty of a horse;
all teeth, some the size of custard crème biscuits
that protrude over thick flesh-banded lips.
Her ears; higher up than most
stand proud on an elongated head.
They twitch as she licks her nostrils
I hate cleaning up after her.
She shits on the floor
in the supermarket car park.
I love her anyway;
she’s the best ride I’ve ever had.
