Continuity

By the fire,
embers winking, reminders of death.
Humor in the eyes, confusion everywhere.
Organs, ligaments, veins, bones: elementals
dragon-torn, form-ravaged.
Flickering could as well be a mirror.
Form that maintains the flame
is a life-sustaining burning of me.
Why, Parvati, can't the light go out?
Must there be heat for the lions in the den?
I scatter the wood and rub the cold ash clear with sweat.
Thought needs no more kindling.
There you are all a radiant immanence
in the shattered realms of unconnected fever dreams.
This astral body is absorber of worlds uncreate.
Sky is pink in one corner like an infected kiss
and the shells dissolve up into dew.
Awake and rested, the next six hours will be colder than night.

Hey rowens-

My favorite lines:

Flickering could as well be a mirror.

Thought needs no more kindling.

Sky is pink in one corner like an infected kiss

Damn, I was figuring out a continuity between our poems. I call it schizosystematics. I can see connections all over.

There's another now, since my response no longer has a stimulus.
All the better for my acausal agenda.
