Let's Pretend it's April - Nov. 10

Rules: Write a poem for LPiA on the topic or form described. Each poem should appear as a separate reply to this thread. The goal is to, at the end of the month have written 30 poems for the month of November. 

Topic : As promised, today's challenge will be a little easier due to the late posting. - Since we're pretending it's April, write a haiku with a Spring Kigo (seasonal word/idea) 

Form : Haiku
Line requirements: 3
Syllable requirements: 17 or less

It's funny cause he said haiku is easy

Altitude changes
Weather unpredictably
Whatever season

Croak

Frogs finding dry ground,
spring forward onto thin ice,
swallowing the moon.

narcissus nods to passing
auto-focused cars.



Crape myrtle pinks
exuberant construction
blocks hollow but hopeful.



Sulfur springtime moon
echoes pale saffron blooms
awaiting thrown bouquets.
