Thanks again take care!
I was responsible for much more than my share of the garbage this year - quality of others' contributions was superb. In my defense, I was literally phoning it in - from a state next to the one to which I'll soon move, while attempting to buy a house. And you know how conflicted I am about houses

A lot of reasons actually, mostly because I wrote most of my poems within an hour of putting up a prompt, practically word vomit, and you know the old saying, one mans vomit is another man's dinner. I'm of the school not to trust flattery either, unjustified compliments will just encourage poor behavior. Great work takes time and effort. So I'll call it garbage whether it's gold or dirt, when I'm done with it in my brain, i throw it out to the garbage and you can either scavenge or scoff.

Yup. When you don't know you've written trash it's time for the critics to wise you up. If you *know* you've written trash, well... you might be mistaken. And they might tell you.

This was a great experience for me. I had just started writing poems again in November, after decades of stagnation, but Napomo did a great job pushing me out of my free verse comfort zone and back into the beauty of form. Just to mention one positive. I do feel like the well is dry now and wasn't really kidding when I wrote that I can't seem to write without a prompt.
But thank you CRNDLSM for taking it on.
