i think it was only a matter of time. i really do hope they get a slap on the wrist and maybe a small fine. anything else would smack of bullying, 15 year olds don't deserve jail time.

and while a few of the attackers may have been doing because they
thought it was right many would have been doing it for the kicks.
i get the feeling that they caught a couple and they folded into giving names
etc of others they know are doing it.
i think from it it could come down like a deck of cards.

like i said before, many are kids and don't deserve a criminal record.

45 people couldn't bring a global web-site down only using their computers. I think it would be unfair for them to receive sentences to make up for all the other thousands.

if it carries on i can foresee a time when we all have to give much more info in order to get an ip address.
it will be like getting a bank account where we have to give a lot more references and prove were over the age of 21.
then if something happens with that ip address it loses all internet rights for that address. a sort of world wide internet blacklist.
other than that they will make sign an ip user agreement stating we are responsible for that particular machine.
