The Death of my Love
#1
To take you in the moment
is to hate my own being.
To slap you in your plump ass
is not for me.
I am trying to understand
our being in time.
When the bardo comes like a dream,
are we ready,
is our ass tan enough,
can we speak to the infinite
with our pink hands or asses?

I am trying to understand
our being in time. possible ambiguity - in time for what, or to avoid what?
When the bardo comes like a dream, appropriate use of "the" - there's only one hiatus between lives.  Or might there be many, one to a customer?
are we ready,
is our ass tan enough, grammatic hitch, unless we have two beings with one ass
can we speak to the infinite
with our pink hands or asses? an amusing (intended?) ambiguity - sign language and melodic farts, or (presumably) seeking acceptance from the infinite by degree of tan [rather than our red lips and grayish brains]

Had to look up "bardo" - can't complain of my ignorance, but the meaning does hang on understanding the concept.

Interesting little philosophical/erotic/anti-erotic exploration.  I *think* the message is something like "flesh is dross" but that's not really important:  the exploration is engaging while staying light.  I picture the speaker on a sunlit beach, resisting the lure of the speaker's partner's fundament with philosophical speculation.

Don't take the found ambiguities above too seriously, but it might be worth re-wording to avoid them... unless they were meant to be ambiguous, you sly person  Wink
