This is a big thank you to everyone who took part in this - I wrote many poems about women during that month, and this week my book 'Let's hear it for the girls' was published. Most of the poems in it had already been published, but I wanted them to sit together, as they did for NaPoMo.

I love the encouragement of NaPoMo here. This site rocks!

Is it a printed version?, this phone isn't good with links. And I don't have a credit card. I'm going to have to meet a boyfriend before I can order offline again. Offline? Is that how you say it? Or off line, or off online? And the title of the book reminds me . . . Do you remember that episode of Modern Family where . . . Jeez, I forgot what I going to say. It had something to do with the song Let's Hear It For the Boy and a banner that came down at an awkward moment.

Yes, paperback - on Kindle too. That song - that's where the title came from. Send me your email address and I'll send you the ms word file if you can't afford to buy! I'm a broke writer, too, you know.

It's a Saturday night, and if I play my cards right, I might can use somebody's Amazon account before the end of the night. If not, I'll look into your free offer. But I prefer a book I can hold in my hands. I'll try for that first.
That song, but not the Modern Family episode?
I watch sitcoms all the time, I won't hide the fact.

I'll get these people to buy it. Shit. I just bought tacos for them with my food stamps card. And besides, the dumb redneck I'm staying with lately would have a heart attack if he found mail from Europe in the mailbox. He'd want to check it for anthrax.

Wow thank you - please let me know your response to it when you've read it. A review on Amazon would be great, if you say what you think!

I went on Amazon and ordered it. I also accidentally ordered a shower rod they had in their cart.

They need it to keep the showercurtain up. My friend's mom is attractive, his sister, who's 22 and still lives at home is also attractive. It's hell on me. Every time we're drinking, I go into the bathroom and leave the door unlocked and stand there at the toilet with my fly unzipped hoping one of them will take the hint. But they never, they never have.

But it wouldn't be as spontaneous as I need it to be.
just mercedes, as the intelligent woman that you are, I implore you, get down into the pig's arse where I have just broached the subject of Milo Yiannopoulas. Let's test our empathy.
Let's bring this hogpen back to life, baby.

You're prolific! Which book would you suggest we start with, Mercedes?

and by the way Todd, congratulations on your book being published this week. I hope I will sell enough of mine to buy yours. It all takes time!

Thank you, Mercedes! It's been a fun experience getting the book out there.
I just ordered "Food for Thought". I'm looking forward to reading it.

I have a book called The Late Show, most of the poems I've posted before. The thing about a book though is that it lets you form a sequence, the way the poems should be read in connection to the other ones. Like an album opposed to the single chosen for radio play. Now I'm halfway through one called In the Deep Woods. The thousands of pages of fiction, I haven't had time to publish. I guess that's what editors are for.
The late show as the afterhours movies. One poem in the book refers to ''late shows and movies'' which confused somebody. But there are different kinds of late shows. I have nightmares over such details. And one line that was too long for the page . . . that made we regret the whole thing.

Food 4 Thought was a solid collection, Mercedes. I enjoyed it. Standouts for me included: I wrote down your mother's recipe for borscht, Stirring Sugar, and I tell my mother stories to replace the ones she's lost.
I left you a review and thoroughly appreciated the read.
Best,
Todd
