As I bike, I see debris–
usually stones and metal,
plastic, shiny discoid batteries
that masquerade as dimes.

Then there’s castoff clothing which
by unscientific count consists
of gloves, predominantly, then
of socks but also, equally,
surprising numbers of brassieres.

for some reason i always imaging bikes to be like supermarket trolleys that are found in the bottom of english canals.

now i'm wondering where the bikes eyes are. nice light one to wake up to on a sunday morn
