have crashed– in racism reversed
instead of ended.
No bills delivered, either,
signifying costs in honesty,
goodwill corrupted,
reconciliation stayed.

No, that's extinct as of 2001 and Lee-Jackson Day was last Friday (in selected locations). Ironic, since MLK Jr appears to have lost his war as completely - for now - as Lee and Jackson lost theirs... though in a different way (and, to be technical, Jackson didn't survive his, either).

Virginia Is For Lovers. The black people here still say Lee Jackson King Day. And we have the "Last Capitol of the Confederacy". We have more than one, actually. We love whites and blacks, norths and souths. winner and Loser.
And we got Edgar Poe. Who the north and south both claim. Born same day as R. E. Lee, datewise.
And we spell capitol and capital interchangeably.
