Political poetry, and I don't think that that's what this is, exactly, is hard to write. Because it's so easy to write. You have some decent sentiments, but some lines are filler. A lot is filler. . . . It's good for venting your anger and disappointment, fear, but there's little that stands out from the rest of the anti-whicheverpoliticalleader-type poetry.
And good political poetry is possible.

As someone who never writes about politics it is a first. Thanks for the feedback I might try and re word this in a second draft and see what takes shape.

I don't know much about poetry, but I know something about politics. Trump is America now. Once upon a time we were the aspirational country. It tilted that way. Just barely. But it did. I can't say that now.
There's a poem in there somewhere.

love the repetition of this poetry. it never gets tiring reading it as you are gasping for what next. ending with is yet to be proven but not to hot on usa economy.
