I'm resisting the temptation to reword or rewrite this one, which means I'm probably missing what's actually there.  Pleasure-technologies lead us around by our [sense-organs], but the pleasure of (for example) a responsibility discharged or a job well done was always kind of virtual, wasn't it?  Do we relate to other people via technology, or evade them by it?  And is mutual pleasure always better than rowing your own boat?

Lot of questions, no answers.  Good head-scratcher (aaahh!  scratching an itch, Nirvana!)

Pleasure technologies, smart phone, Netflix, video games, the internet, porn on the interne, i.e those technologies that people become addicted to and withdraw from reality and social interaction because of that addiction. This is probably more apropos to the developed countries.

Thanks for the read.
