This is a girl...who longs for change
something different
but not strange
she longs for a past
that can be re written
sure the one shes got
is not one worth gettin
if only one thing
could be different you see
then maybe this girl's life
could be filled with glee
so she pleads for a change
just one thing is all
on the day she was born
was when she started this fall
so she ask to be well
to be like the rest
she ask for that chance
if only a test
so when this plea is met
its just for a day
so she may see
why it is meant this way
now she is perfect
or so she believes
she can do whatever
yet chooses to decisive
her heart it is darkened
her mind doesn't care
she is better than the rest
why would she ever share?
she never had a pain
she doesn't know how it feels
and when she inflicts it
she doesn't care if it kills
when her day is up
and all's how it should
she realizes how lucky she is
just to be as she would
for all her pain in the past
its what made her strong
its what filled her heart
and turned it to song
for a heart that suffers is humbled you see
and for the whole world
maybe that's how it should be.
