The perfect response to a comment elsewhere that there are things that just cannot become poems. Well done.

I love how, with nine ingredients, you managed to tell a story. I’m sure there is more than one way to read the story they tell, but I see the story of the first date: nerves and self-doubt with the slim-fast, frugality with the ketchup, anticipation with the candles and wine, plan B with the whisky (in case things don’t go well). I thoroughly enjoyed it.

"aspirine" is a spelling mistake i thought it could be written like that in english, which makes no sense with it being a brand name, but it was late, and that "work" definitely was hasty.. just a half-baked experiment, prompted by your dialogue about shopping list poems. At all times, the best response to "[thing] does not make a poem" is to make a poem with [thing].
I had to google sparrow grass too... my kids just call 'em "wee spears". I do worry about your lack of protein though...
It could be worse
