Conclusions From 10 Virtual Experiments

Conclusions From 10 Virtual Experiments

1. No person or object can have any name other than John (although the spelling tends to differ wildly).
2. Plurality exists only when 2 = 3 (3 being the number with a value greater than 0 but less than 2). Binary relations do not exist, there are only trinary relations (where the 3rd term simultaneously affirms and denies the 1st [3rd] and 2nd [3rd] terms).
3. Art has no meaning here... in the sense that Sartre’s freedom equals slavery and Freud's determinism equals “do as thou wilt”.
4. E ≠ mc². Actually, E = tc² [where t = triviality, when triviality never exceeds 0.0-10 and c exceeds 299 792 458 m / s for each >0 of t]
5. The true meaning of Descartes' “I think therefore I am” is implicitly understood: “I am not sure i am therefore I think I am.”
6. God exists... but, for the atheist he exists more than for the believer.
7. Human beings no longer regard themselves as natural (not Johns - evidence provided in wildly differing spellings). Trees and other such systems are not human. Light is an alien. Music, painting, philosophy is not natural... thinking does not occur, only thought.
8. Time moves backwards. Quickly. Who here can take iℏ ạ/ạt ψ(x, y, z, t) = - ℏ2/2m ∇2ψ(x,y,z,t) + V(x,y,z) ψ(x,y,z,t) seriously?
9. Love is not a relation. Love is singular.
10. Death is not the end.

i haven´t got a lot of clue about physics and philosophy and none about math. not sure if it´s needed here.
anyway, why not embarrass myself and post what i´d distort your findings into:

1. my name is john (although the spelling differs in my birth certificate)
2. plurality exists in any number other than 1; any and no number is related to 1
3. kant said "do as everyone wants". the impossibility to want as you should is not determined hereby.
4. energy linked to t is as easily detectable as light in a black hole.
5. "i am" is useless in any construction
6. a force has more effect another force if the vector differs.
7. humans seized to be natural the moment they named themselves. this was followed closely by the baptism of god.
8. our space is shrinking in time.
9. love is not plural. love depends on nothing.
10. life never dies.

interesting.
the actual conclusions are based on internet social systems, hence “virtual” experiments—although, i acknowledge the title lacks refinement and obfuscates the conclusions in a very lazy attempt to make rather cliché ideas seem more interesting and ambiguous.
it should be noted, i wrote this about 10 years ago.

1. this is just a joke about internet anonymity. how everyone’s the same but superficially different, one singular Other (a single name spelt differently multiple times effectively produces different names. also “john” is the general name given to a prostitute’s client).
2. this is just a convoluted (and hopefully humorous) way of saying all relationships are at least trilateral... so much so, that one must begin by assuming an original multiplicity.
3. your interpretation of this conclusion is interesting because kant didn’t say do as you want. in fact, he pretty much said “do as i say”. his metaphysics of morals was a [the] categorical imperative etc. regardless, this conclusion is based on the observation that art is a complex, often paradoxical, system, that no one seems to be able to escape nor fully connect with once it’s been socialised. were i writing this today, i’d change, if not entirely get rid of, this conclusion.
4. yep. as long as t = triviality, your interpretation is sound. just to be sure this is based on the observation that not only is it often the case that an increase in triviality causes an increase in energy but that there is a sort of feedback loop where the increase in energy increases the triviality. if i were writing this today i would probably add something about perpetual analysis. the internet is a perpetual analysis machine run by primates. (7 billion monkeys with type writers).
5. just a play on words really. i must have needed to make up the numbers. but i suppose it has some relevance to virtuality and the singular “I”.
6. yours is an interesting idea to be explored. my actual intent is far more pedestrian. simply put—remembering these conclusions are only based on observations made about social networks—if it is granted by the atheist that something-god exists [a god concept], then it would appear the atheist has a far stricter idea of what that concept is. theists, on the other hand, tend to drift all over the map, and when push comes to shove don’t seem to really have any clear idea of what the god concept is. this tension manifests itself in atheists often telling theists what they believe (note hitchens, the archetypal atheist, and his famous—often repeated—speech that begins “if you are a theist, this is what you must believe...”).
7. this one... i can’t be bothered to explain.
8. this is just a periphrastic way of saying the internet’s an archive machine. it could be argued reality is like that anyway, and special designation for the internet is unjustified. i would disagree. but not enthusiastically.
9. i like your optimistic interpretation here. unfortunately, mine’s just a joke about porn.
10. the straight forward way of looking at this is that the internet, again, is an archive machine. nothing ever dies there. etc.

if i were to write this today, i would probably add something about how, though counter intuitive, it is the case that given more time to think before saying something it becomes more likely one will say something stupid. this reply being a testament to that.
