The new pound coins are dodecagonal;
a funny little curve, that makes you miss
the old days when summers were softer.
And the new fivers are made of plastic.
Plastic, I tells ya!

i microwaved all me notes
intending to make dough
the coins i chucked it with em
sparkled just like electrodes
unfortunately it melted
i couldn't cash it in
ended up a plastic lump
tossed into the bin
