Of Boudoirs and Barrooms
Last night over beers
I was telling the boys
how I used to buy you
those sexy bras
and teddies
and expect you to be
a good sport about it,
how most times you'd tell me
you weren't a sport
and smugly slip into pajamas,
and about the time
you wore fishnets
to my cousin's wedding
just to prove the point.
They're so jealous.

This poem makes me feel fantastic. I love the woman in this, and all the men who know that she's her own woman and embrace that. This is exactly the antidote I needed today after reading so much about the way that rugby fans (not mentioning any team in particular but it might be the Lions) degrade women in sickening ways.
It could be worse

Thanks Leanne. I love her too. I'm pleased you like the men here too because I wasn't sure about the last line.

The last line is vital.
