A nice stab at humor.
Is Burma Shave, shaving soap? I've always used the mug and brush method. I do not like foam in a can at all. Best, dale
How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?
The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.

In case anyone really *does* want to try his hand at these, there are several "complete" lists of Burma-Shave© jingles online. Check them out - some (maybe all) are both clever and wickedly funny.
My attempt (which came to mind while driving early one morning in rural North Carolina) is not a properly formed example. As with haiku, there is a format (the panels) and a few required themes (traffic safety - often in regard to railroad crossings - and the romantic advantages of a clean shave using the product), one of which mine arguably includes. But rhyming is also mandatory. @Erthona & @Achebe - yes, it's shaving soap - the original product was brushless, i.e. came in a collapsing tube like toothpaste [but larger]. There is now a nostalgia version sold, but it is, oddly, brushed rather than brushless. Maybe it smells the same. @river notch - yeah, but I could only remember three levels of hidden - they don't work if you nest the same one. Need 5 levels for a 6-panel jingle. Even with 3 levels, the system seems to churn for a few seconds organizing before the first display in Preview. Glad you enjoyed it. ![]() |
