Unbreakable
#1
If every forever has a goodbye,
Every lie has some truth.

Behind each smile, a little pain is inside.
And every hug, ends with a tear.

People, they say that everything breaks.
If everything breaks, why am I together?

Why is the world a whole?
And the oceans connected?

Does life break? Can it break?
These questions are ones to be answered.

The bad is good,
And the terrible is broken?

What if they're wrong?
What if nothing breaks, if just becomes one.

Everything gets stronger, nothing can split.
Every smile, the ones we use.

They have no pain,
But they have happiness, and joy.

Good times, old memories,
Holding hands, the true love between us.

The laughs, the hugs,
The touch of your warm hands.

To tell you the truth,
The pure trust without one lie.

I don't regret you, or anything I do.
I would do it again, if I really had to chose to.

The I love you's, the songs we sang.
They made me smile, they made us laugh.

I miss you, I miss the things we do,
All the words, we wished to take back.

They made sense, and they still do.
Maybe nothing is breakable.
You say, that you want me to forgive you. But how could I, if you won't admit what you did wrong. -Written by me, MichelleSmile[/size]

.
some good couplets in the poem Michelle:
i find it refreshing that your poetry looks on the brighter side of life.

If every forever has a goodbye,
Every lie has some truth.
i like this quote the most
and this is also one i really liked;
They made sense, and they still do.
Maybe nothing is breakable.

What if they're wrong?
What if nothing breaks, if just becomes one.
[It is missing]

thanks for the read Wink

Why thank you Billy! And wow, I missed that... thanks for pointing out the typo!Smile
And yes, I try to look on the bright side of things. But sometimes I can get a little sad with my poetry. But it's all about feeling, right?Wink

anything goes. and feelings are often what drive us to write.
just try and be original, say it in a way it's never been said, which is easier to say than do

Again, I love where you went with this poem... a truly uplifting piece of work, with lots of great lines. The only part that tripped me up was the beginning, "If every forever..." , was it meant to be a question? But anyway that's just a very minor quibble. Thanks for sharing this! Smile
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?

And no, it was supposed to be a statement. But that also is given away with the tone of voice when it's read.Tongue Thanks againSmile

I bolded my favorite lines.
Great read and you speak with words what so many women (and men) endure within secret romances.
I liked how you brought about the happiness that is experienced however brief the connection is.
And that your positive outlook keeps you intact.
Thank you
You give to the world when you're giving your best to somebody else.
