Just in case you don't know (or for anyone else), the word is from dictionary.com "Word of the Day". One takes the word of the day and makes a short poem of it; preferably metered (or accentual verse) and rhyming, but rhyming for sure. Of course if one wants to make it more complex that's OK also. I started writing these several years ago. Give it a try. Helps overcome writer's block.
