No Caws Whatsoever
#1
A crow took flight in silence,
the absence of caws, cause for
full quasi treatment.
Viewed by the flock elders
as a black block among them,
he was given wide distance
because of his flaws.
He was breaking flock laws.

Look, as the crow disappears
into mystery´s jaws
that linger and give
everyone involved strong pause.
The sky composes itself
through that pin prick
of the vanishing crow,
violating all cosmic crow saws.

Angry, thieving, but flock faithful,
he´ll return with solutions;
this side of the sky draws him.

Carrying the cure in his beak
he’s unable to caw, though he aches
to announce his return.
The flock, seeing him
without hearing caws, shun him
and fill the air with multiple cause,
molesting the air in full flutter,
more like vengeful macaws
than a murder of crows
with acute claws.

this bit is quite striking and well done:

The sky composes itself
through that pin prick
of the vanishing crow,

Not sure why you repeated caws / cause (including 'caw' that's 3 'caws' + caw's plus 2 cause's).
Otherwise, it's a fun read.

Hi RC,

I'm glad this came back around, wanted to say the first time how much I enjoyed it. Sort of has a Poe feel to it with all the ominous and the tragic end. Smile

Those were some mean crows though. *shudders*

One thing I wasn't sure about, the silent crow who flew away, when he returns he has the cure for his silence, but can't tell them because it's in his beak, and they never give him the chance to explain ... um ... did they kill him? I couldn't tell, and I didn't want to ask because I'm afraid of the answer.
