Very new to poetry but finding it all very fascinating.

I'm old to poetry and still find it all very fascinating. Of course, much of this
fascination is akin to the fascination of watching earthquakes, tsunamis, and
other human disasters.

But cynicism doesn't have that much to do with it, it's more that poetry is rooted
in human emotion and events such as these entail bunches.

Mass slayings, psychopathic maniacs, and poetry. What more could we ask for?

So welcome to PigPen; a wonderful place to learn about it all, even psychopaths.

I want to post another poem, and even though I have critiqued several times, I want to make sure that I should still wait 24 hours before my second post. Hi, welcome to the pigpen. First, thank you for the critiques you've offered others, it's obvious you put serious thought into them and it's appreciated.

But you still can't post more than one workshop poem a day. We don't have too many rules but that's one of them. Posting anywhere else, poems in practice threads or fun or posts in goofy threads around the site is unlimited. Patience.

I hope you enjoy the site.

Critiques. Yea! Let me issue you a triple-good welcome and re-assure you that as
far as drawing attention to yourself, you'll feel right at home here. Not that that should be

Hi all. I wasn't going to introduce myself -- I was just going to exist here until you all gleaned something about me from my writing.

Yeah, that's pretty stupid. So hello! I've been writing on and off for most of a decade. It started off as a way to not lose my mind. Now it's a way to get chicks, lol. No, not really. It's become something else; I don't know what. I sing nonsense rhymes through the day, romanticize my mundane self at night as I drift off to sleep. I share famous poetry on facebook (nobody cares) and like to think myself part of the art scene, though I don't know any poets (or painters, throat singers, ballerinas, pole dancers, prostitues), so that's a fiction.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be a mover-and-a-shaker here, but it's nice that this place exists; I hope to add something worth while.
