The plum farm was struggling
since it’s plumbing had burst.
Old man johnson was sour
but was not well rehearsed,
like a plum that’s still green
or a poet's first verse;
he resolved to expunge
all the plums from the earth.

This would hold its own in Serious Workshopping, if only because the rhymes and rhythm are so well arranged. It's funny, too!

I could try reading a super-serious meaning into this (and this is good enough for something like that to be coherent, and outside of the premise be not at all silly) but I don't think I'm skilled enough. Maybe something about the holocaust? xS

I love the consistent double meanings

It's very balanced and well written, but why isn't Johnson capitalized?
Thanks for the read!
