La Lumière de Mon Coeur

La Lumière de Mon Coeur

Vous êtes si jolis ce soir
Vous êtes la lumière de mon coeur

La nuit est magique, dans le clair de la lune
Et je suis le si fou, pour vous

chantez de l'amour
chantez de la vie
chantez pour une autre jour

chantez de la vie
chantez de l'amour
chantez pour un autre nuit

Songwriter's note: since MISC can include lyrics I thought that I would post this song I've been working on. If someone with fluency in French would be so kind as to interpret this I would very much appreciate it. Also note that French is not a language I speak, but I've always wanted to write song in French so I used one of those English to French virtual translators. Your help is much appreciated. A line-by-line translation would be great! Thanks in
advance!.... Mark

OK then- Below is how I think the French version would be translated into English:

You are so lovely tonight
You are the light of my heart
The night is magical, in the light of the moon
And I am such a fool for you

Sing of the love
Sing of the life
Sing for another day

Sing of the life
Sing of the love
Sing for another night

(Is the above English version an accurate translation from the French version?)

As someone who took French in school for seven years, I can tell you absolutely nothing about the content of the poem (except for individual words or phrases like Vous, et, je suis, etc).

I can also tell you that English to French translators do not work very well (at least not well enough to get a passing grade on something).

I do like the sounds of the words (if I pronounce them right) though.

Does it have music? It seems a regular moony sort of song of love, the music and singing could carry it. I barely can speak English though, despite my decent spelling.

Thanks anywho WJ-
Being a bit past 60 years old, I'm not looking for a passing grade on anything anymore... just a simple accurate translation is all I ask, and I know someone out there must be fluent in French.... Mark

Yes- I have the framework for the tune... Mark
