Upon completion of this poem
please end my life. You'll do no wrong.
Take hold of spear and pick up stone
and smite me, sing a cheerful song.

Take up the ax and crush my head,
obliterate my bones for soon
we will be rich when I am dead.
So smite me, hum a cheerful tune.

Brilliant poem! Hilariously clever. About the line "we will be rich when I am dead"; I'm assuming that this means the poem is a joke on how dead writers are immortalized, right? Anyway, its a very fun take on it. Thanks, really enjoyed this
