the for fun forum

just chewing the breeze here folks.

the for fun forum: while it's a for fun forum it's not for "a pig's arse" kind of fun forum.
you post poems for fun. people can give feedback if they wish unless you say no feedback please.
in the pig's arse you can say "fuck off twathead etc, but in the for fun forum play nice, leave funny remarks if you want because after all it's the for fun forum, but don't be nasty. you can discuss this point as much as you wish here or up the pig's arse. but in the for forum nasty, snide or twattish comments and replies to comments are frowned upon. the mods here work their bums off for you and can do with out i'm taking the piss replies. okay me and todd do very little but that's not the point, we're skivers.

another thing, while we may quote a rule when chastising you in general we're pretty lax, on this score give the mods a break and try to be pretty lax in return. if it doesn't hurt you turn the other cheek, quite often we'll or should i say they'll bend over backwards to help you. they even pretend to like you, so give them a break try not to put pressure on them or place them in awkward positions with a question that has little merit. things like

"someone said this" or someone said that" yes of course worry the arse off the mods if it's serious but if it isn't; just hold your own council. while most of us can't act like poets, we can act like adults, albeit very young ones at times.

we have nothing on this site which is written in stone apart from those which pertain to the laws of the land (unless you're from some lawless state like syria) no kid porn which thankfully we get none of, and no bad shit which we have had a very small smattering of...[thank you for that] we have been known to make up rules on the spot and even disregard an odd rule or two. this is something we'll keep on doing. after all a valued member is surely allowed some leeway when they wander off our path of righteousness? newbs on the other hand have no such right apart from the right or being treated fairly. live with it guys. the rules that matter are the ones that really matter to all; the feedback rules, the not being nasty outside the sewer or pig's arse rules. the send billy money in a brown envelope rule.

I only have white envelopes, but making them brown is easy.
Just for billy though... hey Spot, get busy.

"nasty, snide or twattish comments"
Oh jeez, eat a bit of reality; they're the very soul of fun.
( Don't make me hurl at you that fearful epithet: "You're no fun". )

I'm all for fun. Bring it on!

I'm so sick of all this glorification of war we've got going at the moment - must be the same in Australia, the Anzac 100 year anniversary and instead of learning a lesson, we're getting ready for another. Sad

So some fun will be good.

And the slaughter was all that Pommy bastard Winston Churchill's fault. He directed the operation, sent the Anzacs to the wrong cove and didn't supply the promised shelling from the battleships. Sad They call it 'blooding the commander'.

It's kinda like the U.S. celebrating the Vietnam War.  Hysterical
This April is its 50th Anniversary and there are a few drum beats to be heard around here.
It's also the anniversary of the first national march against the Vietnam War.

We will be requiring members to experience a certain level of fun in this forum going forward, as measured on the Heisen-Jocular index or members will be receiving warnings. You have been warned. Or, rather, you will be.

I was hoping we'd use the Faust Jocular Psychics. I always suck at heisen-jocular scale.

under most circumstances you should be safe using the FJP with a conversion factor of 1.6r where :

r=1/(n(j - i)^e)  and j (or jocularity) is measured on a sliding scale by adding the total jocularity produced to the difference standard deviation of jocularity produced* instances of jocularity and the jocularity of production.

Then just round up and hope billy is ok with that.

All this assessing and calculating are just ways of avoiding the actual problem:
Real poetry is NOT fun.  The 'Poetry for Fun' forum is an insult to the art and
hosting such a forum demeans PigPen.  'Poetry for Fun' should be eliminated
and it's web-space sown with salt.
