RIP Internet Exploder

Goodbye IE, though I can't say
that I knew you well,
a little maybe, but that stopped
when XP hit the shelves.
So very slow you were you know;
I never felt secure,
because you're part of Microsoft,
critiques you did abjure.
I do not bid you fond adieu,
just glad to see you go,
the only happiness I gain;
you cost Big Bill some dough!

Actually I wanted to say "Internet Imploder" as that what I have always called it, but I needed to stick with the IE for obvious reasons. It is an announcement I've been waiting to hear for a long time, unfortunately they will just replace it with something equally loathsome. They've already have something in the works for Windows 10, I can't remember the working title, something like "Black jock Strap Intruder," or something like that. Microsoft just doesn't get that in the world of browsers you can't retain total property rights over your propriety browser and expect it to get anywhere. I have used FoxFire nearly since it came out. I think I was a beta tester on the first release. I have never used IE since, except where I had to for compatibility issues, which are generally non-existent these days. I can even update windows using FoxFire, when use to you had to always use IE. Regardless what browser MS will try and foist upon us next, I have bigger problems to fry. Somewhere along the way I am missing a Windows version number, unless Windows 95 was just an updated version of Windows for Workgroups. If not that would make 95 win 4, 98 win 5, XP win 6, Vista Win 7...So is Win 7 really Win 8, and Win 8 is really Win 9? Wait, I forgot "Millennium". It's like Madonna said, it's "Like a Version". Maybe someone could explain it to me... not Maid Donna, but the Windows missing version number(s). So is Windows 10 actually windows 12?

Numbnuts!

You're using base 10 !

Microsloth (and why the hell haven't you figured this out by now?) is baseless.

BTW, I'm running the QupZilla browser under Ubuntu Linux on a 512mb Pentium 4
that I found on the curb near my mom's old house. I did it just for fun, but the damn thing
runs great! I have Firefox on it as well, but the QupZilla cruses a lot faster on this old geezer. Smile

Ooh, Ray, you got me thinking about linux again. There's an old acer book around, are you a computer whiz or a regular user? Did you run both systems before wiping out windows?

It may be but I am not, baseless that is, nor am I Sumerian. I prefer the natural means and it just so happens I have 10 fingers, so base ten works for me. How many fingers do you think the Sumerians had since they used base 12? I guess you are base one, as you have only one digit that counts (that joke would work better with Billy. Hysterical

I blame my autocorrect for that one. That's my story and I'm sticky two it.

Evidently your AutoCorrect has dyslexia. It flipped the "u" and the "e".

Zues-->ue-->eu-->Zeus

Did it also forget the the caps in AutoCorrect, or was it the hyphen in auto-correct? Mine seems to think it was the hyphen, but the dictionary tends to think of it as a proper noun as it is the title of a program. Oh, I know, you got one of them Tenorsee audocorrect types, don'cha?  Very semilar tooda Texass type.  Hysterical

Yeah, I saw what I did the moment you pointed it out...I blame it because it didn't red-underline-crinkle it. Mayhap that's the way we spell it in Tennessee. It did just tell me mayhap is not a word. So I really don't trust it anymore.

Some time these here spell checkering programs are a mite prejudice and you have to force feed 'em the word. Let's see, mayhap, nope mine didn't recognize it either so I just crammed it down its throat. Just like it didn't recognize men's the other day.
