at la Zona Rosa (Lyrics)

I was at la Zona Rosa, waiting for my friends,
getting high on the music, ‘til the party has to end.
She was standing in the doorway, in her little cowgirl skirt,
so I moseyed right on over, figured that it couldn’t hurt.
I said, “Hey are you ‘Mi Paradise’?
” She said, “Well, some have called me Heaven.”
She said, “Aren’t you Roy Rogers?”
I said, “If you're Dale Evens!”

And she said, “Yeah.” She said, “Yeah!”
Pale pink neon light shone electric in her eyes,
while Terra Cotta lightening cracked across the sky;
you know she made me feel so very nicely high!
When she said “Yeah!” When she said “Yeah!”
When she said “Yeah!” “Oh Yeah!” (in deep voice)

So I saddled up ole Trigger, an’ I loosened up my guns.
She said, “I don’t care where we end up, I just wanna have some fun.”
So we rode down to the lake, passing quietly in the dark,
as gypsies, tramps and thieves, were bedding down in the park.
She said, “Did you bring the Red Rosé?”
I said, “I got it all right here.”
Then she looked at me in that obscure way,
and everything came clear.

And I said, “Yeah!” She said, “Yeah!”
Dusky-rouge moonlight reflected in her eyes,
underneath a Rosé Tiffany tinted sky;
you know she made me feel so very nicely high!
When she said “Yeah!” When she said “Yeah!”
When she said “Yeah!” “Oh Yeah!” (in deep voice)

So I got out a blanket, put the Rosé gentle down,
she got a little chilled, as we rode around;
then suddenly we’re kissing, and she begins to thaw.
She said, “Did you see this coming? I said, “It’s not what I foresaw.”
She said “Man you hit me dead on straight,” I said, “You shot the arrow here!”
She said, “I wasn’t shooting at you, I just put it in the air.”

I said, “Yeah?” and She said, “Yeah!”
Dark burgundy love was burning in her eyes,
while claret-crystal stars, shot across the sky;
you know she made me feel so very nicely high!
When she said “Yeah!” When she said “Yeah!”
When she said “Yeah!” “Oh Yeah!”

How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.
