I have never shared poetry. This poem began as individual poems. By the end of my rant, I realized they were a timeline. The first string being the most recent, the end the beginning. Sort of like a, "this is where I am so now I remember from where I came" kind of thing. They are feelings I attempted to verse eloquently. Thanks in advance for taking the time.

Initial excitement, intellectually stimulating dialogue
This quickly turned into enticement
Blood flowing, eyes bright, constant movement
Tell-tale signs of my unraveling
Unsure of the outcome, as there was no solidity in deed
Maybe the confidence is what broke me
No- the surface merely cracked while mending
Yet you still don't understand me
I can't reveal my deeper nature
That is a structure of fortitude
A structure unrelented by misleading words
A fortress unobstructed by a guise of actions with a shadow
Intuition has rarely failed me
She is a beautiful chaperone
She forsees all slight
She has never fallen short of my worth
--
Your wickedness has deceived me
But it has not deceived her
I failed to hearken her cries
Selfishness reprised
I was bitten
Venom intreveniously broke my very being
It seeped slowly with it's poison and corrosion
A kiss on my wound restored me
Your loving and sweet verges siphoned
Oh, but how the snake did hide
In the recluse of your comfort
She cried again!
Yet I faltered upon her instruction
Stumbling through a path of yearning
What was the need?
Masculinity I could not provide
Weakness in which I could be the stronghold
Acceptance that was essential
--
This could never be fathomed
Maybe dreamt
Slowly pumping & exhilerating
It sneaks through the tiny conduits
Winds & twists upward
Plummits downward
Spirals to it's destination
Papaltation begins again
Providing the nourishment longed
The journey begins reincarnated
But the beat is weakened
This jaunt more strenuous
The toll has been taken
Might has been disputed
There is deliverance in the midst
--
Intelligible & trustworthy
Wise but weak
Weak from a malnourished soul
That fortress was once a wall
A wall that could be infiltrated
When the passage was commendable
Those bright eyes, they longed
Genuiness could not be found
Golden was the heart
A catch hold for your sorrows
I can ease the burden, as I hold my own, too
Lend me your troubles
Unaffected by their stock
Make yourself new
My time is unrestricted
You broke through my the threshold of virtues
With the promise of pure intentions
