Ooh Kay,
A time signature would probably help to answer the question, is the person speaking in our time, or are they in the past and talking about our time. At least it would put the poem in context.

Hi, news, *wave*.
I like the way the time rolls either way. It doesn't take long for a new generation to be born, not even a generation's span of time. 27 to 17, or 17 to 7, or 37 to 27. Thing is, none of them are freer, just chained to a different world.
I'm enjoying thinking about dictionaries vs thesauruses.

17? I was apathetic because not only did my mother not breastfeed me, she wasn't as attractive as the tits my neighbors' wives had. Those 16 year old giants of southern consent laws. What I'm saying is teenage angst paid off well, and most of us are bored and old by 12.

Your thoughts are much appreciated Owen. People will always want better from me, but I can't focus on one thing for more than 20 minutes. Is it apathy, fatigue, or sloth? It doesn't matter. Nor should this poem. It's trash but it's my trash that I'm forced to look at more than once because I put it on the internet.
The apathy is renewed every 7 years. Like a broken mirror curse.
