Happy New Year
#1
Seasons continue on their way,
Unnoticing time, some man-made measurement.
Parties, resolutions, new habits, and news of change fill the air,
spilling words replete with sincerity and good intentions.

Meanwhile, hidden in smaller corners,
timeless resolutions sit quietly,
inhaling love and exhaling kindness.
Breathing life into New Year air.

Very nice, reminds me of Paradox of Time by Henry Austin Dobson.

Alas time goes, but no, time stays and we go. We all only have so many minutes, so don't waste them. Hopefully new promises will be kept, all for the better. Its not hard to do the right thing, sometimes its hard to know what the right thing is to do.

Thank you for sharing.

Hi, I'm new to this site, so take my feedback with as much reservations as you'd like Smile

I appreciated the concept in your second line of the new year being man-made, almost oblivious to nature.
It might be nice to contrast the "timeless resolutions" in your 6th line to the previously mentioned resolutions in the 3rd line. I struggled to understand what you were trying to express that made these timeless resolutions different from the present resolutions that filled the air.

Overall, great job.

I do love this take on the New Year. I like the line about how it is a man made concept. Not just a cliché New Year poem. Nicely done.

I like the short and sweet feeling of it. Speaking of resolutions as hiding in closets might be over-used.
