Midnight Wonder
#1
Awaken son into the night,

Allow the fire’s glow to die,

Memories dilute the sky,

Questionnaires and reasons why.

Before the midnight moon collapses,

take a breath and raise your glasses,

Questions bundle up in masses,

Stormy thoughts and peace bypass us.

And on this night we spend alone,

May every mystery be shown,

As each mistake lets us be grown,

And ponder all we’ve ever known.

How every laugh and each regret,

return to hold and not forget,

Remember how each task was met,

And every choice your mind dissects.

How long of you i’m forced to ask,

until you let the midnight pass,

until the questions of the past,

do to become a vivid mask.

Now that you’ve let your mind be warmed,

Its time that I return the storm,

But don't forget that I have sworn,
To keep you here and wanting more.

I like this one it has good rhythm and the rhymes arent too forced, they flow with the piece very well. the ending is a tiny bit confusing due to the way the rest of it goes, it is like the rest of it is speaking to mankind to be proud of their labors then it gets to where you keep them wanting more, It might be just a thing of taste or I might not be getting it but it feels slightly confusing,

Thank you very much! and yes I will definitely be doing some editing to the ending of the poem to make it less abrupt and more clear. I apreceate you taking the time to comment!
