No bikers find a welcome through this door,
if Babs and Ron say no then keep away,
but I've been there too many times before.

Oil and grease tread rainbows on the floor,
since you've been gone old Richie starts to play,
no bikers find a welcome through this door.

Six brown and mild and I will stop the war,
pool cues drawn by kids that drink all day,
but I've been there too many times before.

A gang of lads that just don't know the score,
one more drink then they'll be on their way,
no bikers find a welcome through this door.

The whiskey gang play doms in friends of four,
glass man George riffs solo's on his tray,
but I've been there too many times before.

The dawn chorus chills the hour I deplore,
but there are simple rules you must obey,
no bikers find a welcome through this door,
but I've been there too many times before.

Original

No bikers find a welcome through this door,
if Babs and Ron say no then keep away,
but I’ve been there too many times before.

Oil and grease tread rainbows on the floor,
since you’ve been gone old Richie starts to play,
no bikers find a welcome through this door.

Six brown and mild with no one keeping score,
pool cues drawn by kids that drink all day,
but I’ve been there too many times before.

The footballs lost our rivals like to roar,
they won one nil so Barbara makes them pay,
no bikers find a welcome through this door.

The whiskey gang play doms in friends of four,
glass man George riffs solo's on his tray,
but I’ve been there too many times before.

These leather lads hold triumph at their core,
our drunken clan lock arms and start to sway,
no bikers find a welcome through this door,
but I’ve been there too many times before.

If your undies fer you've been smoking through em, don't peg em out

sense you posted this in for fun I will refrain from much critique. But I just wanted to take the time to let you know that I really enjoyed this poem. You did a great job on painting the picture of where we are, and whats going on, and I felt a strong sense of emotional connection to this piece for some particular reason.
keep up the good work!

Hi keith, nice.
As once upon a time biker chick Big Grin found lots to connect with.
The same old story and parts played out between the pubs...football SadAngry...rugby SmileThumbsup
My only coment was the football line might need some thought on punctuation to smooth it out. (The game, the ball or many footballs are lost?)

all the best AJ.

A cracking bike billy I think they were 250cc, it would be worth a pretty penny now, circa 1968 was the last production. I have rode one once but the damn thing kept cutting out. Cheers Keith
