I haven't even read a piece of poetry since grade 4 which was many moons ago lol. I read through a wack of them last night and became inspired. I haven't a single clue about poetry writing or form. Pointers and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Critique away ... bearing in mind I'm a baby.
Bold and mighty standings
Endure harshness with honor
Preserving hidden secrets
You give to the world when you're giving your best to somebody else.

it's a little cliche (old phrases)
apart from the last line
a title would be good.
sounds like a patriotic poem or it could be a lioness with a cub.
considering you don't have a clue it has a poetic feel about it
