Things that are not allowed at The Pig Pen

I could probably add:

Looking back through old posts to find one from months past to comment on because you've been warned that you need to leave feedback, and then deliberately choosing one that you think is ok to insult in order to avoid having to actually be constructive in any way... yeah, that's not welcome here either.

That's just trolling.

report mod calls or abusive language that are in the poetry forums.

if your tummy is that weak, we don't want you here, people who waste the time of the mods with silly shit like complaining about a swear word or mod card can just fuck off.

have a dingdong in the pig's arse if you want, but do not report people for swearing in a poem or in feedback. anyway the person who did has set an example of themselves, they're banned.

  • Honest, constructive criticism -- even if you think your poem is too precious to be touched.  There are sites out there who will love you.  We don't.

I was initially averse to the idea of critiquing poetry, as I often think "I haven't augmented your text, I've mutilated it!"
I guess I was caught up in the subjectivity of things whilst simultaneously ignoring the ever-pervading objectivity which surrounds it
assholery not intended .
