so this is my personal favorite from what I've written so far, it's called Mister Master

There once was an old spell castor
With a swirly beard and two red eyes
Known by his servant as Mister Master
His real name kept secret till he dies
His wrinkly face is barely ever seen,
Always spending his time in a stuffy place
But when he reveals himself there's seldom not a scene
And this is the story of his odd little ways

"Toss me the cauldron and pass me the laughter"
He said to his servant, the crackling mister master
"Cauldron in a smoking plume, laughter bottled and blue"
Said the servant, eyes true, shivering sweating and strewed
Red puffs and green booms lit up corners of the room
As he poured the strange ingredients into his potion of doom
"Pass me a little lust and the crocodile dust"
Shouts the wizard abrupt, eyes filled with yellow crust
"Lust truly loveless, dust fresh and bottle less"
Says the weary assistant, beginning to digress

He turns to the wizard and begins to speak
"I must tell you Mister Master, you do not seem well"
And the Wizard turns his uneven eyes and sarcastically squeaks
"Aren't you the observant one? Never thought you could tell"
The wizard throws up his skinny arms in the air and begins to cry
And out of the bubbling cauldron, a mushroom cloud fills the sky
And the wizard shrieks "it's finally finished!"
And with a few sips, he completely vanished.

The assistant as well, found himself where he couldn't tell
The memory of what happened moments ago, he could not expel
"Mister Master! Where have you gone?"
Suddenly a stagehand appears to his side, and says
"You haven't got too long"
He found himself on a majestic stage, in distress…
As if in an alternate world
As if there was a change in history,
Suddenly curtains unfurled
The assistant sees the crowd distantly
The poor sap hadn't known the first thing about acting
He stared at the crowd with his fingers shaking

Yet like his body was under control
So perfectly he started singing

"Our savior, his name unknown
Did slay the beast and claim the throne
A flash of light and the shadow did fly
Lift up his staff, point to the sky
With a crimson glint and a warriors cry

And just when the beast did cover the world cold
Our hero did chant the ancient spells of old
With a crack and a smack he struck the earth thrice
And out of the ground came fire to melt ice
And the monsters heart came finally sliced"

The lad couldn't believe what he was saying
Where has he gone? What has he done?
Standing on stage with his mind racing
"Who do I sing of, this chosen one?"
He asked the stagehand pacing
"You do not know of the one?
The one whom of you sing?
The red eyed wizard!
How could you not know such a thing?"

Then he knew at once, it was Mister Master
"Where must I go to meet his eye?"
He asked with his heartbeat growing faster
"A boy like you there, would surely die"
Says the stage hand, voice growing serious
"He builds his home on mark of his victories
All of them hideous all of them various
Look out the window past the evergreens"
Then he pointed to mountains viscous
Black smoke rose ominously above them
Then the assistant ran off the stage
Without a goodbye to the actors, he left them
Towards the mountains and the wizard sage…

Over the rocks and through the mist
His fingers around rocks scratching his wrist
In an hour or so he came to the top
Looked down at the belly churning drop
There he saw a fortress in black
A place that had come under attack
The door was open and lights flashed in green
Out of the pathway and there came a scream
"My boy! I thought you'd never find me"
Crackled the wizard happily
Then the assistant let out a hurried speech
"What on this gray in green earth his happening?
Where did you go and why did you leave me?
What is this place and what are these corpses?
This place seems possessed with dark forces"

Without another word the wizard took up his staff
Stuck the ground once and a white wind took the two
In the wizards red eyes the assistant saw a certain wrath
A blur and he came to, what happened, he had no clue
Then the wizard came up beside him
and said as he displayed his memories
"Please don't think of me grim
there were no other remedies"

In lines of mist pictures came, sublime
Of how he tore the very barrier of time
Of how he took himself back to the start
The assistant saw a creature held close to the wizard's heart
"It was taken from me"
Said the wizard and began to weep
"I had to go back, I had to save her"
His rage shook the fortress as more images unfurled

It was a mistress of darkness with which he danced
In the blackening mist he saw a dark romance
She was not human, nor was she a spirit
She was a demon, as much as he did fear it
The smoke flew upwards and then it came
A battalion of soldiers led by the king's thane
Took her by the wrists while the wizard cried
And he ran after her only to see that she's died

Mister Master waved his arm over the mists and they stopped
"So you see, my boy why before I was so distraught
the potion we did brew took me back in time
I wished to rid my mistress of this horrible crime
You came to what you'd be without me
A famed actor in the halls you did see"
Admitted the wizard to his loyal assistant
"But what of the songs I sang so decent?"
Came the question from the confused assistant

With another wave mists filled the air
And his eyes saw images as if they were there
Now he was looking at the altered history
Now he was looking at the great mystery
Again came the scene with the wizard and the lady
Only this time, the wizard had been ready
With a flash of light he turned the attackers to bone
With the might that had taken him many years to hone
The wizard and his mistress were free to dance again
But instead, came an even more unexpected pain
The lady transformed, and her darkness was shown
Then came the events of which you've previously known

"I'm a king in darkness I should have seen it by now
Yet now it's all but too late
Here I am in my riches as I sit down
A fool who tried to alter fate"

If you don't post your poem on the site, and you don't read other poems first, your thread might get locked.

It's easier if the poem's here.
