writing about hell, cliche?
#1
I've been pondering the thought of writing about hell and throw it off because of Dante's Inferno. Figure its too cliche now. what do you think?
I once told this blond chick to screw in a light bulb..

She got naked and asked "how do I get in it?"

I think a /topic/ is never cliche, only its treatment. The more a topic has been done, the more difficult to find original treatment, but - hey - people are still writing love poems!

Yeah, but with hell being a specific idea, it is harder to write than love poems.

love is specific idea if you get down to it.

it's like saying you can't write a poem about london because it's been done.
your pov is your pov, as long as it's originally said it should be fine

if you're writing about the place called hell, the images are endless

the same if you're writing about a personal hell.
