Good morning

The Americans are the children of the world
with “Why?”
Children, forgotten the tales.
Forgotten
Hans Chr Andersen and
„The Nightingale”.
How shall I explain to you, oh, emperors,
the tears,
the white roses,
the morn.
How?

and good morning to you boggers Big Grin

why not put his complete name up? does it need the with before 'why" also wonder if you'd be better with
"why children?" on the same line.
i know there's a deeper meaning but i can't see it, i do however like the poem.

Good morning star friend. I especially enjoy this "i know there's a deeper meaning but i can't see it, i do however like the poem". Here another embodiment.

Good morning

Americans are children of the world
asking Why?

Children who've forgotten the tales
forgotten
Hans Andersen and
The Nightingale.
Oh, how to tell you, emperrors
about the tears
the white roses
the morning.
How?

Hi Bogpan,
i found this one intriging, but a bit like Billy said not entirely sure why or what it was trying to convey.
Agree about the with before the why. I feel it is not required as it is confusing.

Because of the title it almost felt like a dialogue from a teacher to a classroom of kids. I am thinking that the referance to the nightingale and the white rose / morning are all linked to the Oscar Wilde "The nightingale and the rose"
But even with this thought in mind and all the rich images condensed and borrowed into your poem from this I am still at a loss to get the message of the poem - sorry...prob being a bit slow here.
But the same comment as Billy I do like the poem.

I like the second part. Maybe moving the "Children, forgotten tales" part to the bottom and incorporate it in that section for clarity.

Hello!

It doesn't feel finished, like it is the first part of long poem and it could be as you seem to have a strong idea, I'm just not sure what that is.

Got a little sense of the idea you're trying to convey, but could use more descriptions to get a clearer image, thanks for the read.
