The Chase

on the front of the stall door
it read " for a great suck"
Dingy Red tiles
piss smell
Inside the stall there is a shit stained toilet
black sharpie lettering with words and catchphrases
phone numbers, drawings
a toilet paper roller with a few sheets dangling
on the end of the roll
The sound of the sliding latch is peace
Being stuck in this shit hole cant be the end
Those two in there ugly tan suits
They almost got what they wanted
This aligator skin is mine though
bulky briefcase, a Samsonite
breathing is tainted, irregular
My heart slows down and I feel comfortable
The combination is "219" It can be opened
if they get me
Theres a breeze and I hear the creak of
the bathroom door it sounds like a rusty wood
stove door being pulled open
A visitor is coming, hopefully for a piss and
not with the forty fives
Cell phone is dying, it wont take a call
only holds the screensaver that my daughter picked
Drips of sweat bead on my brow
like water on a freshly waxed Camaro
If there here, they will find me in this lonely place
I would hate to die in this room knowing what I know
shoes now cradled to the shit stain bowl, waiting

Really interesting stream-of-consciousness writing with just enough detail to be interesting while remaining mysterious (especially the "knowing what I know" at the end).

"The drip of sweat slowly cascades down my brow
some of it beading like water on a freshly waxed Camaro"

I can't reconcile the idea of a drip slowly cascading -- my suggestion for those lines would be:

Drips of sweat bead on my brow
like water on a freshly waxed Camaro

(the Camaro is a damn cool image, by the way)

That's all I've got Smile
It could be worse
