Two Roses
#1
Two roses, in an orchard, grew side by side,
Pink as the cherry blossoms, and blue like the sky,
Intertwined were their leaves, intertwined were their stems,
Intertwined were their souls, intertwined, they were then.

Seperated from each other, for each other's good,
For a rose should only grow, as other roses would,
A man was passing by, and the roses caught his eye,
So he decided to take the pink rose home to his wife,

But the rose began to wilt, and it seemed it would die,
So the man bought a blue rose, to keep by the pink rose's side,
Back at the orchard, another pink rose, was kept near the blue,
But the petals still fell, and the rose continued to droop.

What became of those intertwined, when forced to divide?
The blue rose lost its luster and died, but the pink rose survived...
