Birds On A Wire
If these words are all I’ve got
I’ll be singing non-stop
The lamppost stands alone
But offers light to a lonely few who need to get home
Well me? I am home
My sadness keeps me company
I’m shivering through the teeth
But I’ll be fine I promise
You worry about me too much
If I’m a burden, bury me
I’ll became a garden instead
Something with beauty
To light up your senses
But you all look over me anyway
Like a flock of birds on a wire
I take notice
I take photos
Next time I can’t get up
Sit beside me
I’ll be your garden
If you’ll be mine
If these words are all I’ve got
I’ll be singing non-stop
The lamppost stands alone
But offers light to a lonely few who need to get home
Well me? I am home
My sadness keeps me company
I’m shivering through the teeth
But I’ll be fine I promise
You worry about me too much
If I’m a burden, bury me
I’ll became a garden instead
Something with beauty
To light up your senses
But you all look over me anyway
Like a flock of birds on a wire
I take notice
I take photos
Next time I can’t get up
Sit beside me
I’ll be your garden
If you’ll be mine
