This made my blood boil!

I saw a BBC report which investigated female circumcision in Egypt -- more accurately, mutilation. It seem that 90% of women have been 'cut', with all manner of health dangers ensuing. This means, that they cannot enjoy sex. I mean, wtf? What is going on? The fathers would rather their daughters scream in agony, pinned down while the local midwife, with dirty tools goes about her business? And the mums, who are all for it (because otherwise, she might this and might--all to do with boys), what do they know? They have seen their men get v steamed up, so they know something important is being lost, but they cannot know. And the men -- I suppose they to know no better, and are content with wives who lie back and think of Egypt.

What is with this 'woman' thing anyway. Everything results in women wearing some fucking stupid outfit, being guilty of any number of crimes and getting raped.

I am furious, and partly disappointed, as I thought Egypt had advanced beyond that stage of barbarism. BBC was careful to say that it was prevalent among the Christian community as well.

Unfortunately, I cannot find an online thing from the BBC, but here is Huff Post. Forgive my rant.
