                     living advertisements
                     most of us
                     members since birth
                     asleep
                     weaving our words 
                     scuffed, hand-me-down, 
                     ground smooth of meaning 
                     they slip out easily
                     without a catch
                     asleep
                     we cannot listen
                     only mouth our words
                     adorned in cheap enamel
                     its bright colors 
                     intended to distract

Distracting contextures are both eagerly awaited and encouraged.
