Children's Poetry

There are three that come to mind by C.J. Dennis, 'Hist!', 'Growing up' and 'The Circus' which I memorised and still get a kick out of reciting in my mind sometimes when I have trouble sleeping (second childhood is here 'Hip Hooray'). My grandson enjoys a bit of rhyme when he's in the mood, I reckon it's a great memory tool, not sure how it would go here, no harm giving it a go though, there's probably a lot of good stuff out there, Pam Ayres is a present day poet who is very good and extremely funny!
